They destroyed life as we knew it. Some would even say that the Apocalypse is at hand.
With modern technology consuming itself in the war, our planet has been ravaged and a rift to another reality was ripped open in the aftermath. The survivors of the grisly destruction arise from the ashes of the ruins of our once modern society to encounter a world that has changed. A world that at one time was written of only in the realms of mythology, legend, dreams and imagination. A world which has become a very real nightmare, with only shattered remnants who have forgotten the technologies of the past, and can only piece together a more primitive future.
With the dissolution of the empire of mankind, the ancient gods awake to once again exert their powers over the world. The lords of nature and mythology have eroded, shattered, and even washed away the remnants of modern technology to create desolate and unwelcoming wastelands. Creatures which could only be the product of either mutation or mythology now walk the lands, spreading death and destruction in their wake. The ways of swords and sorcery have replaced the paths of science and machinery.
With a new world that hangs in a moment of uncertainty, the rift in reality has called forth benevolent and malevolent gods and creatures alike, this can only be described as the end of the world; Apocalypse. The seven seals are about to be shattered, the Four Horsemen loom over the land awaiting their chance to spread destruction and chaos. Devils and angels vie for control of their earthly battlefield.
You are a survivor, your memories of the past with its machines, bright lights and buildings reaching for the skies are vague and ever fading, a distant and unreal dream in this new age. You are a lost soul in a strange barren world with little more than the shirt on your back and the few tools you carry with you. Is your destiny to become a hero, or become the villain? Will you fight for justice to stop the chaos or will you join in the ranks of evil to bring upon the ultimate destruction of the world?
